Triptychon is a cycle of seven pieces that follows the path of grief in three parts — the first shock and the tears that come with it, the hollow apathy of realising that someone is truly gone, and at last the slow work of healing, as pain softens into gratitude for the time you were given together. The title comes from the Greek for “threefold”: three stages of a process as old as humanity itself. Written in memory of a close friend and performed by the Filmorchester Babelsberg.
